'Tracciabile' is the first step of a one year long research in the world of 3D scanning.

The final result is a set of ceramic vases which fit one next the other.

The shape is half designed by me and half by a 3D scanner.

Exploiting the surface flaws created by a 3D scanner while scanning an object, I created a system of 'sticks' to create vertical shapes with. Once scanned, the result is an organic looking surface with smooth corners and edges. The file is 3D printed and a plaster mould is then made.

Now the shape can be casted as many times as desired.

The outside surface is not glazed to preserve all the details while the inside is glazed in order to make the vase water resistant.
